ORTA SAN GIULIO: The end

 – Fine.
Inviateci i vostri foto-racconti!📷✒️

 – The end!
No, not yet, but we wrote the first chapter not without difficulty and many confused ideas!
We’d like to make another travel and then restart our life, but we can’t at the time, so we’d like to remember one of the most beautiful place visited this year.🗺️✈️
This beautiful that houses a monastery and did you know that, under the lead of Willa of Tuscia, wife of the Count Berengario of Ivrea, resister over two months under a siege?! It’s incredible, so incredible that the emperor Otto I remained fascinated by this condottiere and letting her escape after the war.🏰

And you? Have you ever been on Lake Orta? Send us your photos and stories✒️📷

FOSSANO: FIRST SNOW

Raccontateci!🦌

– Okay, also this time we disappeared, but not for a long period, it’s kinda the fault of holiday dinners.
There left only few hours but we have the desire to tell you some of our stories, like the time I saw the snow for the first time:❄️ everything was white, slippery, cold and so soft. It was really funny, not to mention when I fell after slipping!😂
What was your best experience of 2017? Tell us!😋

NUREMBERG: ChristkindlMarkt

🇬🇧 – We’re really really sorry, we are fled for many months but now we’re back, we explored a lot in these months and now we’re ready to tell you our stories.

We arrived here attracted by the spiced smells of ginger, cinnamon and glühwein, the traditional Christmas market drink, then we ran throughout every single small hut. The shops are full of xmas decoration, lights, snowman-shaped cookies ⛄ and lovely small toys.

Did you ever taste any traditional Nürnberger Lebkuchen?

PALERMO: Piazza Marina 📚

We love flea markets 😍 and we already wrote about Turin’s in another post, but now we are exploring Palermo 🗺️ so we must write about the flea market of piazza Marina.✒️ 🌳🍃

On Sunday morning a lot of different vendors set up stalls filling them with vintage items,

vintage cameras 🎥 📷, vinyls, books and comics 📚📖 ( there I found a lot of beautiful Dylan Dog 😊) and other memorabilia of other times ⏳.

So why not to take a walk next Sunday, among old radios and books? There are also a lot of locals where to taste Sicilian food 😋 such as Pane e Panelle 😍 (Bread  with chickpeas fritters🍞 very delicious).
Let us know your vintage purchases (and your lunch) posting your stories or photos with #TravelRelation ✈️ tag, tell us your travel stories 😊

PALERMO: Al-Azīz, la Stupenda

“Al-Azīz” means “the gorgeous” or “the splendid” and we think this is the only name that can fit for this beautiful Sicilian castle that stand in the middle of an Islamic garden called Jannat al-ard (that means paradise on the Earth 🍃) rich in fountains, citrus and olive trees 🌳 and flowers 🏵️🌸 that once was the hunting resort of the Sicilian Norman kings dynasty 👑. Inside the castle, an ingenious network of channels designed by Arab-Norman engineers allows fresh air 💨 to keep rooms and hall cool ❄️ (that’s essential for surviving Sicilian summer 😹🌡️) And owh, the castle became in 2015 one of the nine UNESCO world heritage site of Arab-Norman culture in Palermo Cefalù and Monreale so, what are you waiting for?! take your camera and go explore them all! 📷🗺️ Share your photos and stories with us with #Travelrelation ✈️

PALERMO: Teatro Massimo ( We’re back!🔥🔥 )

“Need Palermo such a big theater?” Said once king Umberto I of Italy. And maybe the right answer is also “Yess!”! 😋

Teatro Massimo is the third biggest lyrical theater in Europe and was built by the most important Sicilian architect family, the the construction started under the supervision of the father Giovan Battista Filippo Basile and complete by his son, the famous art Nouveau architect Ernesto Basile. Outside, the shape of this gianormous opera house reminds an ancient Greek temple because of its neoclassical style, inside the Imperial golden and red interiors leave the visitors in love 😻

So, if you planned to visit Palermo you must visit the theater, and why not spend an afternoon at the opera listening to lyrical music or an opera ? 🎭🎭

Have you ever been there, post your photos with #TravelRelation ✈️ we are really excited about knowing your experience 🐈

CORNWALL: The Eden Project

We already talked about #urbangarden 🌿 but this is a really special one. Actually it doesn’t fit well in that name because it’s a real indoor rainforest.
Actually #Edenproject (Edenva in Cornish) is the largest indoor rainforest 🌳 of the whole word🌎 wich grows inside two huge biospheres.
There are more than 100000 plants from all-over the planet inside the steel&plastic domes 🌱
This is absolutely amazing ! 😃

Thanks to @annaerikarusso 🖖 for having made us discover this paradise and for her photos and tips about what to visit in Cornwall! 🏰

GÖTEBORG: The Archipelago

#tbt
Today’s gloomy sky reminds me the whether of Gothenburg archipelago. ☁️☁️
It isn’t certainly the best whether to hike or for a swim, but I’m sure you can still enjoy it!
The archipelago is made up of twenty islands 🏝️ divided in the northern and the southern part. The amazing thing of the southern archipelago is that it’s completely car free so anyone can enjoy, after a short ferry ⛴️ trip, the pleasant clean sea air 🌬️. It is also famous because it was the location of Holmgång (a Viking medieval duel know as way to solve disputes) in some Nordic sagas. 🗡️🛡️ And you, have you ever explored some of these beautiful 20 island?
